Background:
A truly defensive summoning skill made for only the strongest int heroes. These guys wont farm much at all for you, but if you have the mana, they will take all of your damage. Under used before, but buffed some in 2.1 so hopefully it will see more use.
General Info:
These watery minions can each use Taunt once per summon, which is great for both creeping and pvp. With 3 defenders, you can draw someones attention from you 3 times. If players are paying attention, it wont help much, but in a fray of a bigger game, it's huge. They also get soul link at later levels. At max level, these guys can tank an elemental for you! Due to their low damage, you really need a good farming skill to go with them.
Skill Usage:
Taunt is what makes them so good for pvp. It forces players to attack it. As said above, in big games it works great. In small games, players can see who/what they are attacking. The great thing about this skill is that you can level it as a secondary skill if you need to, and it will still do it's job well. If you main level it, you will be amazed at how long these guys survive though. Fire ward is possibly the best skill combined with this, as you can throw down a ward, send out your summons, then go to your own creep spawn and farm there. You can also use these to help teamates farm, if they are getting killed a lot. Send a minion or two to take damage for them. It is a great team skill when used in this way, and can really pull your team ahead by keeping all players at a high level. As these guys are your life and armor, you can start off getting a lot of int and mana items, for your large spellbook. It makes you weak if focused in duels early, but your farming potential will be amazing!
